LowLandLions 10k: Starcraft 2 Tournament Rules

• The LLL SC2 cup is a StarCraft II 1on1 tournament. Every participant must own a legal StarCraft 2  Account in order to participate.
• Only players from EU are allowed to participate as the StarCraft II Beta does not allow connecting to US and ASIA Battlenet-servers yet.

Rules

• The LLL StarCraft II Cup is played in a Single Elimination grid in „best of one“ (Bo1) mode on a pre-determined map until the quarterfinals. 
• From the quarterfinals on the tournament will be played in “best of three” (Bo3) mode. The first map in a Bo3 match is determined by the tournament administration. After that each player vetos one map out of the pool; then the loser chooses one of the remaining maps. The loser of the first map starts to vote. 
• The tournament will be played via Battle.net.
• The match is ready to start when both opponents are ready. If one of the players has temporary problems he has to report this to the opponent to get a restart.
• If a match cannot be played because of undisclosed reasons a referee has to be consulted. In case a player is not online a referee has to be consulted as well. If a player does not show up until 10 minutes after matchstart a default loss will be assigned to the waiting player.
• After finishing a game, the loser has to report his defeat. If he doesn’t do so in an adequate period of time, he will get punished.

Hosts

• One of both players has to host the match.
• If the host picks the wrong map, the match will be replayed with the correct map. In case a both players agree on the played map a protest after the game will be turned down.

Cheats & Barring

• The use of cheats, maphacks or third-party-tools is strictly forbidden and will result in an immediate disqualification from currently running and future cups!
• It is forbidden to listen to shoutcasts of your own games during the match. 
• -Participating players who are barred in other leagues may also become barred in any tournament.
• The tournament administration reserves itself the right to barr players from the tournament who are barred in other leagues because of cheating or unfair behavior cheating.

Punishment

• Inadequate behaviour and delaying the tournament will be punished immediately!
• Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour towards referees and other tournament participants are not tolerated and will be punished with immediate disqualification.
