eMpathy wordt Antwerp Aces

Sinds het meest succesvolle team uit de historie van Call of Duty 2 stopte bij tek9 en de organisatie later overschakkelde naar Antwerp Aces, had het team nooit nog een Call of Duty-team. Hier komt nu verandering in.

Antwerp Aces, de organisatie die voortvloeide uit het succesvolle tek9, heeft opnieuw een Call of Duty 4-team. Dit is, na het nieuws over MYM deze week, de tweede grote organisatie die terugkeert in de Call of Duty-scene. Het team dat vanaf heden onder de tag van Antwerp Aces zal te zien zijn, is het grotendeel Belgische eMpathy. Het team speelt intussen toch al enkele maanden samen.

Het team bestaat uit vier Belgen en één Nederlander. De eerste twee die we voorstellen zijn de neefjes Randy "soose" Deveijver en Davy "pREKii" Spens. Zij zijn bekend vooral bekend van hun tijd toen ze speelden onder Rodcad samen met niZ en van toen ze bij KaoS speelden. De derde speler in het team is Dimitry "Delroo" Decan. Deze west-vlaming is vooral bekend van zijn tijd bij NCe dat later onderdak vond bij YoYotech. De laatste Belg in het team is Abdel "VATO" Bouddount. Hij is waarschijnlijk de minst bekende aangezien hij vrij nieuw is in de scene, maar kan zeker al zijn mannetje staan. Hij raakte bekend bij Omega. De laatste speler in het team is een Nederlander, Darnall "Desnoll" Brumond. Hij is de scope in het team en verving onlangs niZ, die te inactief bleek voor het team. Hij is bekend van nospang dat later GameLimited werd.

Het team was onlangs nog eerste op de KaoS-lan e-series en behaalde een mooie derde plaats in de EPS Benelux. Welke lans het team als eerste zal doen, is nog niet bekend.

"Today I am proud to say we found a new home in Antwerp Aces. Although we really enjoyed our time in eMpathy, we just couldn’t refuse their offer. Antwerp Aces is a well respected Benelux based organization and playing with their support will only boost our motivation as a team. You will probably see us on almost all Benelux events and we hope to attend other big LAN’s abroad in the near future. We would like to thank our previous manager shox from eMpathy for supporting us in the past and Antwerp Aces for giving us this opportunity."
