Wat door velen gevreesd werd is nu officieel gemaakt. LowLandLions en haar Counter-Strike:Source team beëindigen de samenwerking.
Vandaag maakte de Belgische formatie LowLandLions bekend dat haar Nederlandse Counter-Strike:Source team de organisatie verlaat. Volgens het management van LLL heeft de huidige economische crisis een groot aandeel bij dit slechte nieuws. Zo zeggen ze dat de economische crisis een grote invloed heeft in de e-Sports wereld. Door dit zijn ze genoodzaakt te werken met een kleiner budget dan verwacht met als gevolg dat ze hun CS:Source team niet genoeg kunnen steunen.
Statement door de LowLandLions organisatie:
"We
hereby announce that the LowLandLions Organization and the
Counter-Strike Source team have mutually decided to go separate ways.
The current economic crisis has had a deep and profound impact on
various organizations and leagues within e-Sports. The LowLandLions is
no different and as a result we are forced to operate with a smaller
budget than initially projected for 2009. Therefore, we have had to
make choices and unfortunately, we can no longer accommodate the
Counter-Strike Source team in the way we would want to.
After discussing this with the team we felt it was best for them to
depart from the LowLandLions organization in the hopes of finding a new
organization which can cater to the needs of this very talented team.
We are sad to see this team go as they were a pleasure to work with.
They can only be described as true professionals in every meaning of
the word. It was a real honour to see this team carry the LowLandLions
tag, even if it was only for a relatively short period.
We wish them the best of luck in their future and I hope they will
be able to reclaim their number 1 spot on top of the Counter-Strike
Source ranks."

Het team zal verder spelen onder de tijdelijke naam "De Eindbazen" tot ze een nieuw onderdak gevonden hebben.

tzal bij vele teams moeilyk zijn,
maar dat ze daarom hun cs:s team niet kunnen steunen ?
kpeis daze wel genoeg hebben gkrege? ..
't is niet simpel om een vd beste teams in EU te ondersteunen als ge plots veel geld moet missen..
