Fnatic Bashes a Button

Door de tegenvallende resultaten van de laatste tijd houdt het Call of Duty 4 team van ButtonBashers er mee op. Stevy vervoegt de rangen van Fnatic.MSI ter vervanging van tidde.

ButtonBashers was één van de standvastigste teams in het tijdperk na LowLandLions, ze vergaarden zo'n €15,000 op verscheidene LAN's, maar zoals aan alle mooie liedjes komt ook aan dit een eind. De laatste tijd was het team niet meer hetzelfde, op FatLan haalden ze "maar" een derde plaats en door een vervanging binnen het team draaide het ook zo goed niet meer. De beslissing om te stoppen met het team werd dan ook gemaakt.

Statement Stevy "stevy" Verheyen:

''After disappointing online & offline results, constant line-up changes and several other problems, I have lost motivation to rebuild the team and go any further. We have tried to keep the team "Benelux only" for a long time but there was a huge lack of available talented players at the moments we needed them the most. I want to wish everybody of the former Button Bashers CoD4 team good luck in the future, and who knows we might meet again!''

Statement Kevin "svotue" de Groot:

''At the start of CoD4 I started a team which had the potential of becoming a good stable team. From June till December we never left the number 1 and number 2 spots and I had a great time with all the players. Unfortunately Mofje quit gaming after December and we were never able to find a suitable 5th. Like others in the team I do not have the motivation left to rebuild the team and decided its best to quit competitive gaming at this point and focus on other aspects of life. Now it's time to say goodbye to everyone after a long period of good fun and staying at the top. I would like to thank RobyYe, Stevy, Mofje and zEMME for being awesome teammembers and ofcourse Pietje who I have been with in the same team from day 1. <3 zEMME, Pietje, Kasparov, RobyYe, Stevy, Mofje, Solz, Rikku, yuna, Mazarini, Toxjee, the frenchies and everyone else that I have forgot!''

Het ButtonBashers team zag er als volgt uit:

Fnatic.MSI heeft ondertussen ook al één van de spelers van ButtonBashers opgepikt. Niemand minder dan Stevy "Stevy" Verheyen zal de plaats innemen van Daniel "tidde" Asp die door zijn job de zomerLAN's niet kan meemaken. Robin "rivve" Holmén zal tevens de sniperpositie verlaten om stevy zijn favoriete rol te laten vervullen.

Statement Stevy "stevy" Verheyen:

After the whole BB situation it was clear I couldn't continue there, after having a great time there it came to an end. At first I wasn't sure what I would do, play or quit. As i'd wanted to find a job during the summer, however everything worked out well and fnatic gave me a great offer. An offer which later I couldn't refuse.

After trying a few games with these guys it was certain I wanted to play with these people, They're a great bunch of guys and a very skilled & motivated team. We're ready to dominate the upcoming summerlans. Shoutouts to Pii, zemme, svotoe, solz, pietje & ofc kb0y, see you all @ the summerlans!

Statement Conney "KyoChi" Sjöberg:

"Most teams goes through this over the summers, players getting summer jobs that won’t allow them to go to LAN’s. This time it affected Daniel “tidde!” Asp, he will step down for the time being to being a sixth player, focusing on work. With freedom to choose whoever we like to fill his shoes, we locked on to the one we wanted the most, a guy who needs no introduction as he’s been holding the CoD world in his hands for almost a year now, his point of view is a panorama of pure destruction and we believe he will aid us in overcoming the challenges that lies ahead! Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you STEEEEEEVYYYYYYYYYYY."
